What inspired Prolanthropy?
We saw a need for creating a turnkey process for managing the foundations for professional athletes.  The risk for a player to start his own foundation without knowing the right way to do so is pretty significant. We knew that we could provide each client with the support and resources needed to create a successful foundation for their charitable mission, giving them an opportunity to help or change their community for the better.

What is your favorite thing about working for Prolanthropy?
Simply put, I am able to utilize my skill set and abilities to make a large impact on a number of cities throughout the country. The programs that we develop are based on the needs of the city the foundation will impact, as well as the passion of our client. Seeing the reaction of a young kid when one of my clients enters the room is what drives me and makes it all worth it. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the stress of everyday work life, but at Prolanthropy we meet incredibly strong people going through very difficult times that remind us of what truly matters.

What advice do you have for students and grads that are looking for employment?
Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and try new things. Test out different areas of your degree/market and see what you like and what you don’t like. Real world experience plays a huge role in job opportunities once you graduate. Being able to give examples of lessons you’ve learned through actual experience is a very valuable take away. Also, everyone has been offered a hand up at some point in their career. If someone offers you the opportunity to sit down with them, pick their brain or get their feedback, take them up on it. Your career path is in your hands and you have to show people you are willing to take that risk in order to succeed.
